What is Numerology?

Numerology - Pythagoras

Numerology is the ancient science of numbers, with each number contributing a unique vibration to the story of your life. One of the benefits of numerology is that it can uncover your destiny and life purpose, and the life lessons you’ll face along the way. This is valuable information if you want to make the most of your journey. Even though it is one of the most accurate and powerful self-help tools available today, it originally dates back thousands of years to the ancient civilizations of Atlantis, Babylon, China, Egypt, India and Greece.

These days, Western (aka modern) Numerology is the most popular system used around the world. It is said to have been created by Pythagoras, the Greek mystic and mathematician, more than 2,500 years ago; however, some believe it wasn’t actually developed until after his death. Besides Western – Chaldean, Kabbalah, Chinese, and Tamil/Indian are other numerology systems currently being used around the world today.

Numerology is based on the premise that we are timeless souls who have lived, and will continue to live, many lives for the purpose of wisdom and growth. We numerologists believe that every one of us, in our quest for self-mastery, has a preset agenda consisting of the specific lessons we’d like to learn and the destiny we endeavor to fulfill while we’re here—the details of which are found in our ‘numbers’. In other words, we have prechosen our ‘numbers’ prior to this incarnation to provide the necessary tools and experiences to assist us in our quest.

Whether you’re searching for insight into your future, planning an important life event or looking to choose the ideal career, relationship, date, or name – the answers are written in your ‘numbers’.

Numerology can help you:

  • Forecast and plan your future
  • Discover your strengths, challenges, life lessons, and potential
  • Uncover your pre-chosen destiny and life purpose
  • Choose a suitable career – for yourself or your children
  • Plan important life events – ie. marriage, career change, travel, start a family
  • Choose the ideal name after marriage or divorce
  • Choose a business, pet, or product name
  • Choose a baby name or an elective caesarean date
  • Improve your relationships with others
  • Understand your children and become a better parent
  • Improve your self confidence through self understanding
  • Choose the ideal home or business

When combined with the universal Law of Attraction, numerology can help you to reach your highest potential with greater ease. Where numerology will uncover your destiny and life purpose – the Law of Attraction can help you fulfil it!

When you know who you are; why you’re here; where you’re going; and why you think, feel, and behave the way you do, you’re able to stand in your full power, which raises your energy vibration and enables you to improve the circumstances of your life. To me, numerology is so much more than simply predicting the future or choosing the ideal partner, wedding date, or name. It’s the missing piece of the puzzle that will help you live your best life and reach your full potential.

How to Calculate Your Life Path Number

Your Life Path Number is the most significant number in your numerology chart. It’s the very first number a numerologist will look at to get an understanding of who you are and the kind of life you’ll live. This number reveals the path you’ve chosen to walk in this life and the lessons you’ve chosen to master on your journey. It indicates the kind of life experiences you’ll encounter as you fulfill your destiny and life purpose.

The Life Path Number can be calculated several ways however this is the easiest method of all.

Step 1:

Put a plus sign between each of the individual numbers in your birth date and add across.
Make sure you write the full birth year—that is, 1969 rather than just 69.
Let’s use the birth date March 29, 1969 (3-29-1969), as an example: 3+2+9+1+9+6+9 = 39

Step 2:

Add any double-digits together until you get a single-digit Life Path Number, unless they total 11, 22, or 33, which then becomes an 11/2, 22/4, or 33/6 Life Path Number.
3+9 = 12

Step 3:

Keep adding any double-digits together until you get a single-digit Life Path Number, unless they total 11, 22, or 33, which then becomes an 11/2, 22/4, or 33/6 Life Path Number.

1+2 = 3 Life Path Number
